Pet cremation requests increase: 2017 record year!

“[...] What does 'to domesticate' mean?”
“[...] It means 'to create bonds' […]”, said the fox. “You,
until now, for me you're nothing but a kid equal to
one hundred thousand kids. And I don't need you. And you
don't even need me. I am not but a fox equal
to one hundred thousands foxes. But if you domesticate me,
we'll need each other. You'll be unique in the world
for me and I'll be unique in the world for you”.
(Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince)

There are special bonds, friendships that can fill life, they last years and to whom we reserve a particular place in our heart, always. The friends we talk about are pets: the most faithful, the fairest and the most fond.
Pets make our life better: what is created, over time, is a strong, deep and empathic bond, so much so that, very often, we love them as if they were children and they become in all respects an integral part of our family. From their proximity, our life has a beneficial effect: our pets take care of us as much as we take care of them. This special bond goes beyond the boundaries of life and endures even after their death, we continue to keep them at home with us, keeping the ashes in a special urn, with photos and dedication that seals the memory of the bond.
By virtue of this special bond, in recent years, the culture of cremation has become increasingly affirmed, that is, it has been acquired the awareness of the deep respect that our loyal "friends" deserve after death.
In 2017 the number of people requiring pet cremation grew exponentially: our four-legged friends, almost always, return home in the urn or are buried in the cemeteries dedicated to them. A love story, therefore, that continues even after death, a bond that doesn't break but that transforms. According to AIDAA (Italian Association for the Defense of Animals and the Environment) in 2017 the funeral ceremonies for pets have tripled compared to the previous year: almost 140 thousand have received adequate burial in the cemetery and the small memorial plaque, thanks to the multiplication of pets cemeteries; while, a multitude of families, to preserve a memory of their "four-legged friend", choose the cremation with conservation of the ashes in a cinerary urn, keeping it exposed in a corner of the house, or stored in a bedside table, or still choosing special frames containing the ashes.
The association, futhermore, estimates that, in tyhe enxt years, these numbers will increase considerably.
With this in mind, Real Votiva, a leading company in the production and sale of products and accessories for funerary art, with an eye always focused on the future and the needs of its customers, to embellish the memory of our traveling companions, offers a customization service for some models of porcelain cinerary urns through the possibility of printing a photograph together with the pet's name and any other writings (a date, a small dedication).
